your 10BB deep, stealing with a hand that will , most probably, still be "live" if some1 calls you down. If you get the blinds, you've just added 15% to your stack. You have a ton of equity, since calling you off would cost the tourneament to those players as well if they loose (altough the very fact that the'yre also short is a danger since they might be calling wider)

I'm doign the exact same thing everyday in a turbo, and would do it 85% of the time in a normal structure (depends ont he villains behind me)

Hi omote23,

Yes QJs is a lot better to shove than QJo. But I think QJo is reasonable in this situation. 10BBs in the cutoff as the short stack.

Here is a website with some shoving ranges for various stack sizes. http://www.pushfoldcharts.com/fullring/

It lists QTo+ as shovable. But I would assume we are only just over break-even with QJo.

So I think it would come down to how loose the remaining 3 players are. If 1 or 2 were tight it would make the shove more profitable and easier to make. If two were loose or one was very loose (30% VPIP or so) I would probably wait an orbit for antes to kick in and try and pick up a hand in the meantime.

As it is this shove is profitable and you're just unlucky to runs into such a strong hand. Just as many times you're called by TT (or other combos like AK) and are in much better shape.
