Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi,

Hand Analysis

In order for this to be a profitable call pre-flop in the long run, we will generally need about 16<or>20 to 1 pot odds to try and set mine with medium to low pocket pairs, as the majority of board texture will contain over cards and we'll rarely feel comfortable calling bets or betting for value if no set was hit.

A general rule of thumb, in order to maximize value with a strong made hand, let's keep our bet sizing 2/3 to 3/4 pot size. Anything less than those amount correctly prices in marginal holdings or draws to chase.

Post flop, given that it's a multi way pot, this flop texture will a lot of different ranges. Flush combos, Qx Q9 through AQ, Jx J9 trough AJ. I would have led out on all three streets for about 2/3 to 3/4 pot size as there are just so many worse hands that we can extract value from.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

I know my hand is not good in this but i just want to learn how play pre_flop as small blind against big blind. In this hand opponent was pretty aggressive from the start almost saw all flops was my play right here?

And watched the bet sizing video here is what i think about when to bet big.
1- To show an aggressive style of play and pressure opponents
2- To bluff people off when in position
3- To get value and avoid drawing hands

Hi,

Hand Analysis

The majority post flop mistakes are made preflop, meaning, starting hand selection. I'd choose hands that can have solid playability post flop ATo+ QTs+ KJs+ 77+ to start out. The sheer gap between the jack and the deuce is unplayable, rarely ever will we flop equity to an open ended straight coupled with feeling gun shy if we flop top pair to bet for value or call bets because of low kicker. The specific reads that you had on the villain are that they're loose, so I'd somewhat tighten up my starting hand selection and play only value hands on an introductory level bank roll size. Post flop, I'd be checking instead of continuation betting and folding to all bets made by the villain.

Also, please ONLY play at a full table of 9-Max 0.01/0.02 No Limit Hold'em table as your training is focused primarily on this game format.

Good luck and good decisions,
CannonLee

Hi,

Any VPPs that where earned prior to the second bonus do not count towards the release of the 3rd bonus. Only VPPs that where accrued with the second buyin count. Please let me know when you have reached your target.

Kind regards,
CannonLee
