Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Was my shove good in here? Or should I had folded it after 3bet?

Also, is cbet ok with this flop? Flop is dry, I opened pre and called 3bet, but I'm OOP so maybe should I just c/fold?

And all my 3 steps are completed also, did courses yesterday with watching videos also. Still waiting for my first bonus.

Hi,

Hand Anlaysis

Usually a limping range is perceived as a weak range of holdings, but that is not always the case. Sitting on a 40bb stack depth while having a positional advantage both pre and post flop I would have raised 3x the big blind +1bb for each limper and when it get's 3bet I'd be willing to get the stack in just as you did! With so many players our odds/hand strength is slim, but it's not often we are getting such amazing pot odds on this stack depth let alone while holding a strong pocket pair. Unfortunate outcome.

Hand Anlaysis

We are sitting on a 100bb stack depth and will be at a positional disadvantage post flop in likely what would be an inflated pot as my intentions would be to re-open the action for the standard amount to get value from the two limpers ahead of me as they likely have a weak range of holdings. When the short stack goes all in there is not much we can do besides cold call the 3bet with decent pot odds as the betting is now capped.

Post flop, taking card removal into account it's unlikely either of the two villains have a range of holdings that contain a 3, but it's still plausible given the nature of a limpers loose passive tendencies. I'd be inclined to cbet and fold if raised..I wouldn't be to concerned about either of the two holding a range of flush or straight combos as those holdings will make up a small portion of their overall range..when a loose passive player decides to raise generally they will show up with the goods..it's in their nature to just call in most situations.

Solid play and discipline of bet>folding such a dry board.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.

2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.

3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Was my play right there? Preflop call is good in my opinion at OOP and the flop bet might has just been c/bet, plus there really wasn't a hand he could hit, maybe Qx or low pocket, but turn bet clearly shows that he doesn't have anything.

Also I watched the video and why player might want to make big bet answers are:

1. To put a lot of pressure on opponents.
2. To bluff people off decent hands.
3. To protect against strong draws.

Also I finished my cash game quiz.

That means I finished all my 3 steps and now waiting for next bonus.

still waiting.

Hi,

Hand Analysis

We are sitting on a 50bb stack depth in the small blind. I like how you just cold called out of the small blind a re-raising could have made matters much more difficult in terms of playing an inflated pot out of position.

Post flop, this is a really dry board texture..the villain having range of Qx is really going to consist of such a small portion of their overall range as well pocket pairs. Given the board texture I believe a reverse float has merit with ace high as we do have some show down value versus a worse range of Ax and/or Kx high..on the turn the villains min-bet of 2c is indicative of a really weak holding..their range is going to be super wide and weighted towards a marginal draw or high card (as mentioned above..we could elect to raise for thin value or check/call to keep all of the villains range of bluffs in the pot. on the river..this is a snap call given the way the hand played out..plus we are getting such a great price to hero call with 2nd top kicker on a REALLY dry board. Well played and nice pot!

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee
