Hello sng4life88,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi sng4life88,

I think we could have gone with a slightly bigger sizing preflop. I would go for 50 to 60 (3x raise + 1bb for every limper in the pot + 1bb for being OOP)

I think this flop is bad for us, not only because we missed ofcourse, but also because its somewhat connected. There are flush draws and straight draws. Whenever I see a J and a 9 or a J and a 8 on the flop, It's usually not a great flop to cbet with nothing because there is a lot of combos that connect with the flop, be it OESD, gutshots, backdoor draws + overs, etc. Given that, I would have likely check-folded the flop instead of cbetting.

GL at the tables!

Brilliant sng4life88!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

The player in the SB flat called my flop bet and checked the turn and then bet the river. I put him on a flush draw, which then hit a pair on the river.

I wanted to call him down for a bluff but was reasoning what I could really beat.

3 reasons for why I would like to bet big is:

If I have a strong hand on the flop where there are flush draws or open ended straight draws, I want to protect my hand to make the person chasing the flush/draw pay a fair amount, I would like to bet so he does not have pot odds to call.

Sometimes you can make a big bet when you want to make your opponent think u are bluffing so your big bet seems like a steal.

Sometimes you make a made hand on the flop, you want to win as much as possible so you bet big to induce value in the hand.

I noticed that you posted a cash tourney hand in the HA section. YOU CANNOT PLAY ANY cash tournaments until you are done with this promotion.. or you are INELIGIBLE for all future bonuses!

If you play anything, even ONE tourney, other than a freeroll, or any cash table other than 2NL FULL RING, you WILL BE INELIGIBLE!

Hi sng4life88,
Here I think we can raise the limper preflop and put pressure on his weak hands. When someone limps into the pot it generally indicates a sign of weakness so I would raise them up with a wider range of hands; particularly any hand that I would open raise with considering my position.

Here we end up over limping and calling along and lose our initiative in the hand; I don't mind taking a stab at the flop once its checked through but other than that I'd give up on the hand too. Villian's range is undetermined give the line they took preflop so I would go bluff catching with Ace high on 2nl tbh.
