Hello zrinjaaa,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

As you can see in this hand I got nice size pot, but I am not sure how good was my play in this hand, I made a call before flop cause it was not big raise, few callers so I was thinking it can be a good call with QT, I raised after flop to check where is it my hand so far, one reraise and few callers indicated that there is few players connected to the flop but I decided to make a call, 3. club on turn and action after turn get worried me a bit, but raise was not too big considering size of pot so I decided to make a call and on river my hand become stronger and I was already committed to pot...At all, I am not sure how good was my decision on turn, any comment would be great...

Hi zrinjaaa!

With QTo from the SB, I get a min-raise and 3 callers. I need to muck this hand preflop and here's why. While my hand does have some potential, I'm out of position, which is one of the largest disadvantages in poker. Players sometimes look at playing from the blinds, that it can be cheaper to see flops due to already having chips in the pot... this is a big chip leak. I actually want to be playing the smallest % of hands from the SB compared to any other seat at the table, due to the positional disadvantage.

If I did see the flop (which I would not), when I see that I hit top pair, I need to make a value bet. Bets postflop need to be made based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture. With 4+ opps, I need to make a pot-sized bet of 25 and do not want to bet less as by betting less, I can be giving the opps the correct odds to try to outdraw me.... something I do not want to do.
When I get raised and then called by multiple opps, I need to muck. Calling and calling to try and chase hands is how many players lose all of their chips and is something that I absolutely want to avoid.

The key here is to muck marginal hands preflop when out of position.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

1) I played few hands and I am find this one interesting and I am interest in your opinion, did I should bet more on river?

2)Answers to question:

-To put a lot pressure on opponent
-To protect against strong draws
-To gain value from very strong hand

3) I also pass Cash game quiz with 87%

Hi zrinjaaa,

I think you have played this hand well! I would use the same betsizing on the river as you have.
