Hello bigstack926,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi bigstack926!

With 77 and a limper in front of me, I have two choices here. I can either limp behind and hope to hit a set, or I can make a standard raise to 3BB+1BB for each limper (80).

I then get an abnormal raise to 410 and three calls of it. I need to fold to this raise and here's why. I have a marginal made hand that plays much worse against multiple opps. If I was up against only one opp, then I'd be likely to shove here, but not when I'm facing multiple opps that should have many more overcards that can hit the board and beat me. I also don't have enough chips to try and setmine to this bet (I'd need to have 15X the amount in both my stack and the opp's stack).

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Hi bigstack926!

We do not show that you have passed the basics quiz. This is the 15 question quiz at the end of the section. It's mandatory to pass this before we can move onto the next step, so please let us know when you have passed it.

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Hi bigstack926!

the course can be found from the courses drop down box at the top of any of the forum pages.

You need to post the hand/hands here using the hand replayer, where you lost the buy-in. These are mandatory steps before moving on.

Preflop I suggest folding K10o here. Firstly, you are out of postion. Secondly, you are facing an early position raise, a caller and a 3bet. With this much action, it is unlikely that you have the best hand at the moement. It is important to learn to fold marginal hands like this preflop, especially in the blinds.

On the flop you have two pair, but a flush may already be ahead of you. I would lead out about 70% of the pot. Betting more risks getting you value owned. When you get raised, I would just fold. Without a read, I would give him credit for a strong hand. Two pair is behind both a set and a flush.

GL and have fun at the tables!

Please answer the question (3 reasons) in the previous post and let me know when you have passed the cash game quiz. These need to be done before we can move to the next step.
