Hi,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!
NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.
Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basics Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.
So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi,

Hand Analysis

I noticed that you posted your big blind out of turn, I'd suggest that from here on out you wait for your big blind to come around, as this may prove to be costly in the long run.

Without having the initiative in the pot, our post flop story isn't going to be convincing especially since we just arrived at the table. This is a hand that we would normally fold preflop, the huge gap between the ten and three significantly reduces our hand strength and there is a good chance we would be out kicked by a better range of Tx. Our equity is very minimal post flop and not strong enough to be semi bluffing on the turn with an inside straight draw. I would have elected to check with the intention of folding to any bets made by any of the villains.

Hand Analysis

Being on the button and the fact we will have a positional advantage post flop, I'd open this hand for the standard sizing of 3x the big blind sitting on this stack depth of 100bb this hand is very playable.

Post flop, the villains leading range is going to be weka here, possibly weighted towards 6x trying to bet for thin value and protection, I'd prefer just smooth calling their lead with the intentions of possibly checking back the turn to open up the villains stabbing range on the river.
Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Excellent!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.
Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

only donks can win in this game

player may want to make big bet:
- to put a lot of pressure on opponents
- to bluff people on decent hands
- to get value from strong hands
- to protect against draw-hands

have a good question: do you test beginners on idiotism?

thank you

im ready go go go

Hi,

Hand Analysis
Sitting on a 75bb stack depth this isn't really a hand we want to be entering the pot with. This hand should be considered the bottom of our range is not consider a value hand. One thing I noticed when I first started and got more experienced at the tables is that there is no need to be bluffing at these stakes, just simply focusing on playing position and strong value hands AK AQ AJs ATs KQ KJ QJ JTs AA KK QQ JJ TT 99 and trying to set mine with these 88 77 66 55 44 33 22 will show a steady profit. Overtime I'm certain that your poker schemata will improve, especially when it comes to bluffing and opening up your range, but for now master playing tight aggressive poker and you'll be on your way to moving up in stakes.

There is a saying, "most post flop mistakes are made pre-flop" meaning, starting hand selection.

The board texture was so dry and the villain had at best a bluff catcher if they were ranging you with Ax AQ AJ AT A9 etc.. often you will see these type of call downs at these stakes and to combat that just play strong value hands.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Hello,

Unfortunately this promotion is only for NLHE 1/2 cent cash games tables. If you would like to post any PLO hands for review you can do so here:
