Sigh...

Have not had the table time to play many Premier League games this month. So have gambled a few times and always lost points and will be relegated back to Open Skill League, possibly worst result ever.

Not stoked about that - but just seeing that PSO stalwart 'sleepyolman' has a new thread and is really going to go for it in the November OSL has given me a boost to try once again myself.

Not going to be around much in December either so just doing this for fun and the potential prize in November.

So I will track the OSL challenge here - no expectations - but need to discipline myself.

Good luck all.

Thanks TweedleBeetl

Just looked at you location - don't think we have many members from Iceland.

Strangely was also listening to an old album that references, and might have been partially recorded in Iceland.

Up and running - made a decent start in the first 3 tourneys and after the update placed 58th with 1614 points.

SCORE HISTORY FOR EDINFREEMAN
Date Participants Position Start Scored End
2013-11-03 09:00(ET) 10000 1020 1583.96 30.41 1614.37

2013-11-03 01:00(ET) 7114 1068 1500.00 21.71 1521.71

There will be more points from the 4th tourney - although the ending was brutal - I can always find a way to get AA cracked in the OSL.

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...744_1122906F78

Still finished that one in 960th so positive points. I will play the fifth tourney as well and update tomorrow.

Hope to keep up this consistency and get in 3-4 a day & more on weekends.

Good luck all

After the first seven tourneys almost snuck into the top twenty.

Had to miss a couple of games after that - but happy to have got points on the board early doors.

My worst result so far - 1,612th of a full 10K field still got me 12.38 points.

Best so far the 377th for 62.25 points.

In total made 220 points - just need to accumulate another 1300 odd!

The daily 'Aces Cracked' Hand for Monday's PSO games.

I'm all in preflop calling into a 4-way hand

Was short and couldn;t pass - but v 3 opponents always more chance to get beat.

Watch the big stacks all getting in post-flop when I still had the best hand.

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...593_47B746C3EF

That's my worst finish so far, after just 45 mins in 2,425th.

Will have picked up points in the earlier game so this should not be too bad.

Before getting in my first game today - logged in to PSO.

Saw my current position in that box on the Home Page.

And also saw who had snuck up behind me, 'the professor' sleepyolman.

- - - -
#67 GB EdinFreeMan $1.50/$7.50 1749.16
#68 MX sleepyolman $1.50/$7.50 1748.67

Good work from sleepy with a 12th spot - plus one more to update for maybe 30 that will overtake me as I missed that too.

I really need to get in more games on average to compete, but today will just make three.

My bad final result yesterday, getting aces cracked cost me a couple of points - but I had made 31 in the earlier game.

So I am just registered for my tenth game - I have missed four so far.

Average score to date is 27.66 poiunts per game.

Just need to keep chipping away, and try to stay in the top 100 where I have been since game 2.

So - Sleepyolman and I were sat at the same table last night.

I got no hands until I was almost blinded out, just after the 1440 bubble bursting.

With less than one big blind the patience paid off.

http://www.boomplayer.com/poker-hand...687_A0961FBFFA

Then a free flop in the BB hit me hard.

http://www.boomplayer.com/poker-hand...761_1BC16F3EE0

And the Jacks kept coming.

http://www.boomplayer.com/poker-hand...844_7EF8565565

http://www.boomplayer.com/poker-hand...269_3F5E23405D

Made up an extra 900 places or so to finish 503rd for 46 points.

So from 3 games yesterday still made some decent headway.

However - this morning - different story.

Yes it's time for another 'Aces Cracked' moment.

And this time it was even heads up all-in preflop

http://www.boomplayer.com/poker-hand...259_4C9BF553C6

Sigh.

On the upside though - didn't get those aces until just before the 55 min break.

Late enough not to do damage, finishing 1,991st.

Maybe get in three more today.

Currently placed at 72nd - but it sounds better when you say 72nd of 45,533

Avereging 4 tourneys a day over the first few days - have played 16 of 25 available so far.

Still hanging in the lower end of the top 100 - picking up a few points most tourneys.

About 240 points behind the leader. Not worried about that - just want to keep accumulating points.

Just had my worst finish of the month - a sad end to an otherwise decent run today.

I had made around 80 points in the three earlier tourneys, starting with my best finish of the month 318th.

So this hand hurts.

QQ all in preflop shove - 2 calls - I don't like the K on board...

...but both have weak Ax so just the one overcard to dodge - or so you might think.

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...014_8408BAC50B

Finished 2,953rd so not gross - but having risen to 54th with a few points still to add on - disappointing end.

Might miss a few games tomorrow - so will try to catch up on the weekend.

It's hard work trying to keep up with you...

Just went out of my last game today - I like the call off in the BB here.

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...609_C84CB03A8D

Flop the third nut flush and a straight flush draw - but the nut flush holds.

Big pot if I get lucky and only enough chips to pay the SB & ante so I think its a go.

Just past the bubble as well. All three tourneys today passed the bubble then busted almost immediately.

Should be about thirty points for the day - will check in the morning.

So the big loss on Thursday - my second negative score and biggest downswing - lost 12.06 points.

That is roughly the points earned from one finish just inside the bubble for me at this stage.

Which was what I did three times on Friday.

Those tourneys have updated and have got me over the 2000 point mark.
