What do I do oop multiway with AK?
I raised because my hand was too good just to call and I wanted initiative, but I think I raised too small. I jammed because I didn't want to call half a stack and then fold if I don't hit my pairs, the first raiser could show agression and it is pretty tough.
no reads on the opponents, the biggest sample is on the guy on my right, 7 hands 71/0

Hi Praydk,

I would have taken the same line too but would probably 3bet to 0.42 instead. With the dead money in the pot, I think we have a +EV 3bet/get it in spot.

I would have done the same.

I also had a look at the maths. Villain is laying odds 1.77:61 which equates to 2.9:1 or saying to breakeven you should have at least 26% equity in the hand.

Now given that vilain called multiway and then shoved I anticipate that it's definitely not just AA or KK.

Even against a super tight range like QQ+ AK (let alone all the other hands that he could have when doing this move) you will have around 40% all-in equity. Since you needed a minimum equity of 26% to call the shove, you are basically printing money in the long run.

There is nothing wrong on get it in preflop there with AK. However..

I remember back when I was playing lower where I would be in tables with multiple Loose-Passive players that didn't fold to 3bets, on spots like this with AK I would get called by two or more players. On the flop the pot would be big and I would be OOP vs at least 1 player and if I missed if was either check fold or cbet and commit (because a lot of them will be shostacks), and you know this kind of player won't fold if they hit any piece of the flop.

Anyway, I started just to flat with AK in spots like this, probably seems weak but it plays easier and we will get value from worst A's and K's a lot, and will save us $ a lot the times we miss and can't do much about it other than give up on a decent size pot.
