In this hand, UTG opens for 5x and I decided to raise it up and planning to get it in ofcourse. I don't have enough hands on villain as he recently moved to my table. 40/15/2.3 (20 Hands)

What do you make of their preflop sizing and the fact that they flat called a 3bet OOP? AK,AQs, medium PPs?

With less than a PSB what is your line on an A high flop?

Hi George

This is a predicament that I rarely find myself in but when I do find myself int his spot I swear out loud, and I swear loudly.

What makes this spot horrible is that although we have less than a pot sized bet left on the flop we still have 28 big blinds so for that reason and that reason only I think that checking back and hoping to get to a cheap showdown would be best.

If we had just 15 big blinds left then I would bed getting it on the flop regardless that there of the much feared Ax.

If we decide to cbet the flop our bet sizing would have to be at least 1,5k to get any respect and 1,5k is a massive dent in our stack so the best approach to this awkward spot would be to check it back and hope to get to a cheap showdown.

Villain obviously made a big mistake by flatting preflop but that's poker and these spots occur from time to time.

Cheers, Chris.
