Hi,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!
NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.
Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basics Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.
So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

I do not like hand and position but i am receiving 4 times on my initial play. The flop gives me a pair and a draw for a flush. The game plays very big with everyone making large plays and calling many large bets, so I play all my chips immediately and others call. So I am happy with the play as I will receive 4 times my play if I win. But I see after hand that another had a play for flush higher than my flush, so I now I am not so sure that I like my play.

Hi,

Hand Analysis

Even though we are getting what appears to be really good pot odds to try and hit a flush draw or made hand, we won't be flopping a flush draw often enough for our play to be profitable in the long run versus this many players. With the amount of players left in the pot, there plenty of two card flush combos that have us beat on the flush draw.. Plus, we'll be at positional disadvantage post flop versus every oppoent, which in turn makes our decision making that much tougher in regards to hand ranging etc.. Even though there is merit to playing a low suited connector on a stack depth of 100bb (big blinds) we'll often be slightly dominated on most board textures and feel gun shy to bet for value or call bets (even when we make our flush).

Post flop, there are several villains left to act behind us and by going all in on bottom pair plus a flush draw..we are basically charging ourself the maximum to draw out on our hand and isolating our self versus with what would appear to be the top of some of the villains range based on the pre-flop raising action that ensued.. I would have preferred to jsut check call and re-evaluate my course of action on the turn, we are sitting to deep to be playing a low flush draw this aggressively coupled with many players involved in the pot.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Excellent!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.
Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

3 reasons to make a big bet

1) To defend a high pair on a board with many draws.

2) To receive maximum value from a good hand such as a straight or a set.

3) To put pressure on other player.

I like my hand and my position. I am trying to steal blinds in the beginning. I am surprised by the set because there was no aggression before the flop and I have a 5. Do not know if I should have made a different play or no.

Hi,

Hand Analysis

I would have elected to call the villain on the flop as opposed to raising their lead. Generally a leading range in this spot is weighted towards top pair, or a worse draw. Calling allows is to complete our hand, while keeping the villains entire range in the pot. The problem with raising this flop is that we can only expect to get action from the top of their range top pair decent kicker, two pairs and sets all of which we are an underdog to. Food for thought, initially you wanted to take the blinds with this hand, to accomplish this, a standard sizing of 3x the big blind +1bb for each limper will be a sufficient amount.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Hi,

Your third bonus will be automatically credited to your PokerStars game client cashier when you have accrued the required amount of VPPs (10 total) Please note, any VPPs that were earned prior to the release of your second bonus do not count, only VPPs earned after receiving the second bonus count towards the release of the third bonus. Let me know when you have got your bonus.
