Hi Giorno_Attiv,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!
NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basics Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.
So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hi Giorno_Attiv,

The hand history must be in English or it won't work in the hand replayer. If that is not the problem, and it still won't work, please post the hand history here. Boom hands are not accepted.

Hi Giorno_Attiv!

With a really bad hand (94o) from the BB, when the others limp, I'm more than happy to check, as it's not a strong enough hand to raise with nor is it strong enough to call an opp's raise with.

I flop bottom pair in a 5-way pot. When it checks to me, I need to check and hope to see a free turn card. One of the other opps most likely has a J, so I'm going to be behind. I want to be betting when I'm ahead, not when I'm likely behind.

The same thing on the turn. I do not want to bet here, I need to check and hope to see a free river card. If I did bet, I would need to make a standard 3/4 pot bet (bets need to be sized based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture). I also cannot make a bet less than this or the opps can be getting the correct odds to try to beat me... something that I need to avoid.

The river is the same. I need to check and hope to get to a cheap showdown, as my hand does have showdown value but is too weak to bet.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Excellent!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.
Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Here is the interesting hand, unfortunately i lost it, but i want to know, if i played it well or not :

and the answer to the question is :
A player may want to make a big bet : -To put a lot of pressure on opponents
-To bluff people off decent hands
-To gain value from very strong hands

soon i will pass the cash game test

unfortunately, after i raised up the cash i got.. i lost it all .. it all went like this : at first, with some luck, i managed to double up that first 2$, and with some more luck, i managed to get almost 5.7$ ..
but then, i got some badbeats .. "awesome" badbeats ..
the hand replayer says it all .. please watch and then tell me if i can recuperate at least 1$ of what i had .. thank you

btw.. at the cash game quiz, i got 65% .. and i think i need 70% to pass !? anyway.. tomorrow i am sure i will pass it, and continue with this

Hi Giorno_Attiv,

Hand #1: Without specific information on villain that they fold atleast 67% of the time to 3bets I would fold A3o preflop. Calling off a 4bet is absolutely a spew. So this is not a bad beat.

Hand #2: 3betting all in with KJo vs an UTG open is another spew. I fold this hand preflop. Unlucky result but could be avoided by folding preflop. Against an UTG open KJo does not play well. We have reverse implied odds because our hand will often be dominated by hands like AA, KK, JJ, AK, AJ, KQ

Hand #3: This one is another fold preflop for me. I would make the call with QTs, but the offsuit counterpart of the hand decreases the playability of the hand post flop. And here we are going to be playing the hand OOP and without initiative for the remaining streets which puts us at a positional disadvantage; to make up for that disadvantage we need a stronger card advantage. Shoving all in is a big mistake!

I think you need to be taking this promotion slightly more serious if you wish to make use of the learning experience shoving and calling off light because its free money is not the right way to go

i really take this promotion serious, and this site especially, but when i played those hands, i don't know what got me .. normally, i wouldn't play like that, and i definetly not go all in with A3o or Kj ..
maybe i was too confident after i doubled up and then got a little more in my bankroll ..
thank you for your review, i will try in the future to be more careful and play well
