Hello Gospodar111,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After watching this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

The first thing that you need to do is to play the PM talbes and post a hand in this thread so that it can be analyzed for you. After that, then we will be able to move to the next step if you passed the quiz.

Hi Gospodar111!

I see a one thing with both hands before they even start. Whenever sitting at a ring table, I always want to wait for the BB to start playing. Paying extra blinds over and over to start playing immediately is a huge drain to a player's bankroll and something that I need to avoid.

With K2o, I'd like to muck this junk hand preflop, but since the blind was posted, I need to check and hope to see a free flop. If any of the others raise, then I need to muck.

If I saw this flop (which I would not), when an opp makes an abnormally small bet and is called, I need to make a standard raise with two pair. Bets postflop need to be sized based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture. With 4 or more opps, a standard bet is a pot-sized bet, so I need to make a pot-sized raise to 1000. I can't bet less than this or I can be giving the opps the correct odds to outdraw me... something that I need to avoid.

With 2 opps left in the pot on the turn, a standard bet is 2/3 pot, but this time the opp bets more than this. Since they made a larger bet than I need to, I'm going to call and re-evaluate on the river. I don't want to shove here because doing so will only accomplish getting myself value-owned. I'll make all the worse hands than mine fold and get called by only hands that beat me... the exact opposite of what I want to do.
---------------
With K9s, once again, I'd like to muck this marginal-at-best hand preflop, but due to the blind being posted, I'll check and hope to see a free flop. If any of the opps raises, I need to fold.

If I saw the flop (which I would not), when I see that I flop trips, I need to make a standard bet and with 4 opps, a standard bet is a pot-sized bet, so I will bet 110. I don't want to bet less than this or I can be giving the opps the correct odds to try to outdraw me.

The turn is a blank and once again, I need to make a standard bet. With one opp in the hand, a standard bet is 1/2 pot, so I will bet 155. I do not want to just randomly shove, as once again, it will only get me value-owned. The only times that I want to shove is when a bet makes me pot-committed (over 1/3 of my chips go into the pot with a standard bet).

The keys with both of these hands is to wait for the BB to start playing and to muck marginal hands preflop, especially when out of position.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

A full ring table is a 9 player cash table. The ones that you want to play are the 1/2 cent 9 player tables.. nothing else, as playing any other type of table will make you ineligible for future bonuses.

Good luck.
