Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

This guy never bets the flop unless hes hit in some way so i decided to check, turn is a Q and he bets small i raise for value as i dont think hes capable of folding his Q..

River is perfect im sure he has a Q and decide to just shove over his donk bet, just wondering seen as i had a read do you like checking back the flop.

I can get value from a ton of draws on the flop that can suck out on the turn but ive also seen him bet his draws small and his monster hands big so does anyone like my line or do you think i should just come out betting on the flop?

I still think you need to bet on the flop.

board is wet as there is a FD so you need to protect and get a little value from your set.

If you had such reads on the villain. Just make your bet smaller.

If you have a read then checking the flop is fine.

Rest of the hand is played standard.

Hi mike,

Agree with birdayy, if the read you have is solid, checking the flop is the only way to get more value from your set, since he'll just fold to a bet if he's missed.

kalahwang's suggestion to bet smaller than normal would be nice to try and start building the pot on a different board texture, where he might be tempted to peel with over cards (852 for example), but with an ace on the flop he has no over cards, so is less likely to peel light for a small bet.

I would actually raise a bit bigger on the turn, and as for the river the only thing I'd do different is actually raise enough to put him all in... I agree with your read and raising, but we left him the option to keep .13c on the table. I know it's a small point, but 2.5bb's is 2.5bb's. Pick up an extra 2.5bb's once a week and how would that impact your win rate at the end of the year?

Hi Dave i did actually mean to shove it all in, i thought i raised it enough to cover his stack and unfortunately i never, its not something i normally do i raise enough to cover there whole stack rather than put my stack in but for some reason i didn't raise quite enough.
