Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Bankroll Builder steps two and three. - Tue Dec 03, 2013, 04:03 PM

This evening I decided to do the second step, and just a few hands in I get a monster draw. I end up with a Royal Flush on the turn, with a starting hand of Js10s. Now Royal Flush may be the easiest hand to play, but if you don't take home a high pot, it feels like you made a mistake.

I'd like to now what is the best way to play a Royal Flush, and whether I could have played it better.

Regarding the Quiz Test, I passed it last Sunday, before entering this promotion. I got 76% of the correct answers, do I need to pass it again?

Thanks.

Hi gtln,

I will be your Hand Analyzer for this post
JTs feels marginal here from MP in a nine handed table. However, I do think raising is superior to over-liming so yea I like your raise size. Good board to cbet and villain gives us a good price to call with our draw. I would probably check to the raiser and go for a x/r line. We don't have to worry about them checking back because we have less than a pot sized bet by the river anyway and considering the pot size if we don't get the rest of the money OTT we can get it in OTR. Super nice hand

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Hey, guys, been busy for a while, but now i'm back. A pretty boring hand for you (sorry for that). I don't think there's too much to analyze, but I played only a few, due to time restrictions.

2.List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

- To put the opponents under a lot of pressure.
- To gain value from monster hands
- To bluff people of decent hands

3. I passed the Cash Game Quiz a couple of minutes ago.

Hi,

Hand Analysis

A good rule of thumb when deciding to play a pot, is to enter the pot for the standard amount of 3x the big blind...this will help to ensure a pot is built, value is made and will likely decrease the amount of players that elect to take a flop(which will make our decision making much easier). This hand isn't the strongest, but it's playable from this position...just bear in mind that there are severall combos of Ax that have us out kicked. Let's say we entered the pot for a raise or one of the villains raised over our limp, I'd be keen to fold even though we'll have a positional advantage...our hand just doesn't flop strong often enough for us to defend a 3bet or flat an isolation raise.

Post flop, I like the line you took of pot control...there is no need to bluff at this flop or turn as we'll either get called by hands that beat us or hands that have a decent equity share for a draw. It's best to check behind as we do have some mediocre showdown value with the hopes of improving to a pair of aces. Well played post flop.

Even hands that do not seem interesting do have some thought process behind each course of action.

I'm certain that once you hvae completed the Bank Roll Builder promo, you overall poker schemata will be ready for the next buy-in levels 5nl+!

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee
