I feel like giving something back to the forum as it has helped me improve, so I've decided to run a small competition inspired by Jason Mercier!

Your challenge is to guess what Villain's hole cards were - both values and suits are required.

Only one guess allowed. I will announce the winner after 23.59 UTC on Thursday 5th December. Only one prize will be awarded depending on how accurate the winner is. The first person to guess the correct hand will be deemed the winner if multiple people guess correctly. Obviously no-one else who was involved in the hand is allowed to guess.

Prize:

$5 - For guessing both hole cards (suits and value) correctly.

$2 - For guessing the value of the hole cards (with incorrect suits)

$1 - The closest guess if no-one gets it correct.

Good luck!

Hi spand,

5d Kd

I wasn't at the table then. But there is a lot of useful information now. Please don't send any money unless you can't see my table "read"!

I can think of only a couple of hands that would play it this way, and someone's already guessed one of them, so I'll go with my other guess:

I'm not even clicking the play button on the replayer to watch the hand... but I'll take a stab in the dark and go with Kd5d as well.

Kd5d is the correct answer - but obviously I am not the first to 'guess' this.

Nice offer spand42 - but you need to edit out the Hand Number from the replayer. We don't need to have been in the hand to request it from stars and read the hand history.

*** SHOW DOWN ***
spand42: shows [As Kc] (two pair, Aces and Kings)
serg-ash: shows [5d Kd] (a pair of Kings)
spand42 collected $14.07 from pot

Sigh - I feel like such a N00b.

Thanks for the honesty guys. Yes villain had Kd5d.

THIS COMPETITION IS CANCELLED

I'll set up another competition with a different hand and I'll post it in the Challenges and Battleground thread - I'll delete the hand number this time
