Hello,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

Best of Luck!

Hey Raiser!

I've watched the video and passed the basic course with 81%. Still I might want to read the "Entering the Pot", "Calculating Outs" lessons again to score better.

Here the hand that I played at a play money table. In this hand, I won the pot. But still I want to know whether my decision is correct.
Decision I made is to call all in against opponent at the flop.
The reason behind this decision is, I had a good chance of having a flush. And there are no pairs in the community cards to expect a fullhouse from opponents.
Please let me know whether calling all in is a correct decision on such situations. Also, advice me if anything wrong with it.

Hello Raiser, may I know how is it going?
Is there anything that I have to repeat?

Hi,

Hand Analysis

Making a raise pre-flop to isolate one of the limpers may win the pot uncontested, but let's factor in that reginaldo and MTTank44 have a really deep stack and can pretty much call our raise while having the benfit of being in position on us post flop. This hand isn't really a value hand and no where near the top of our range, so I'd avoid inflating the pot out of position.

Post flop, even though we have the intiative, this is a middling board texture and will hit so many different combos of holdings...so raising as a semi bluff will generally only get action from hands that currently beat us, we'd pretty much be risking our entire stack to win about 40% equity share back versus a range of 9x...which is a close call, I would have preffered to cal smomg lead bet to keep all of the villains range in the pot...some of which may be inferior flush combos, high card combos etc...
Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee

Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Raiser,
I have watched the video and passed the course.
Here are the three reasons why a player may make a big bet.
- To put pressure on an opponent.
- To get value from their made hands.
- To bluff people off decent hands.

Here is an interesting hand I played on a NLHE table, where I'm on BB holding two trash cards. I tried to bluff UTG and he didn't give up until he see all the community cards. Then I again bluff him with a higher bet after the river and I won a big pot for nothing.
Since I rarely try bluffs, is this kind of bluffs risky to try?

Hey Raiser,

Can I make a small deposit to my account now? Will it disqualify me from the next stages of this promotion?

Hi,

Hand Analysis

Sitting on a 25bb stack depth facing an UTG limper we could stab at this flop as this board texture can plausibely hit our BB option range, but expect to be called atleast two streets by high cards combos and flush draw combos, all of which have a more equity versus our hand. Your bet sizing was perfect on the flop and turn, it helped to buld the stack to pot ratio for a river jam if we do not complete, betting half pot gives the villain proper pot odds to hero call...going all in on the river will generate more folds, afterall we have no showdown value with 6 high...so let's make it difficult on the villain. Brave bluff and well played!

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
CannonLee
