Hi,villains is playing 23/23/0 over just 23 hands.

How should this hand be played post flop ?
I know that the huge overbet shove on the turn was stupid lol. I guess I thought any ace would call, but fold if the river was a diamond, so I just shoved lol

Cheers!

Hi fp,

I think you should do the exact opposite of what you did on the turn, and check behind. We are unlikely to get called by a worse hand for a turn bet, except maybe specifically a set that slow played the flop and now calls trying to fill up. We will get called by 66 and diamonds and be in bad shape. Additionally, we can benefit by a free card here in that 1) we draw to the nuts, and 2) we make our hand look like it doesn't have an ace, it looks like JJ-KK, so we will induce action on the river from hands that busted draws, sets, etc. as well as singleton diamonds if the 4th one comes.

Cliffs: we don't know if we're ahead or not on the turn, but our best chance to get action from worse hands is on the river, not overbetting all in on the turn, and a free card doesn't hurt us.

Turn is pretty cringe worthy.
