Was it right to bet turn for value?

BU: 1 hand, notes: called CB w weak

PRE: 3bet - felt A6o was too bad to call, but good enough to raise.
FLOP: Missed it, so went for CB OOP.
TURN: I have best hand, or he is slow playing, so I bet for value.
RIVER: I have still best hand, if he is not slow playing (KQ, i missed that)

Button ($5.91)
SB ($8.79)
Hero (BB) ($8.72)
UTG ($4.98)
MP ($2.48)
CO ($6.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, 6
3 folds, Button raises to $0.10, 1 fold, Hero raises to $0.40, Button calls $0.30

Flop: ($0.82) 10, J, 10 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.40, Button calls $0.40

Turn: ($1.62) J (2 players)
Hero bets $0.90, Button calls $0.90

River: ($3.42) A (2 players)
Hero bets $1.70

Hi brave,

I don't mind restealing a button open from the blind with A6o, but I like to know that the button is actually opening a wide steal range here first so readless I just fold A6o. Once I see a guy is doing stuff like playing 21/17 with a button open of 48% or whatever, then it's open season on his button opens with Ax blocker hands.

Flop c-bet is fine, but I would always shut down once called. He's going to be ahead a lot when he calls this flop, and he may well have a hand like AQ that is simply not folding.

I think that we are approaching this from different perspectives... your comments that you were betting for value through out this hand indicate you think you have the best hand mostly. But I am playing this spot preflop as a resteal, and once we whiff the flop and get called, the play has failed this time, so I'm much more ready to abandon ship. Especially on a flop texture that does interact well with the range of hands that continues vs our 3b pre by calling it.

I see literally no value in betting this river tbh. KQ got there, AQ got there, Jx/Tx were already there... we are only beating busted flush draws which are unlikely anyway, and they won't call a bet. I think this is a perfect river to check and fold to a big bet.
