Brilliant!

You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player.

Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

That's great news!

You passed the Cash Game Quiz and know you've shown that you have a great understanding of the fundementals of playing poker. We have now credited your account with your 2nd bonus.

Step Three

Please play a 1/2 cent Real Money table at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

NB: You must post a Cash Game hand only, tournament hands do not count for this promotion. You must use the Hand Replayer only to post your hand, we cannot accept hands posted in any other way.

Once you post your hand one of our Trainers will analyze it for you so please post and intersestig hand where you have questions. Give as much information about the hand as possible, for example, had you any reads on your opponents?

2NL 6-Max QcTd

Although the board was wet (having the possibility of flush draw), I 3-bet my opponent. The reason was if one of the villain had AA, AK, KK, KJ or AJ, he/she would have raised during the pre-flop. For me, I thought QTo is a not a weak hand but not strong either, so I limped during the pre-flop phase. During the flop phase, his raise did not scare me since I have the best hand. I believe 10 is a good kicker on this board texture. I am guessing he was aiming for his flush draw and raised to grow the pot. On the turn, K showed up. This worried me a bit. If the villain had suited K*, I am behind. I ruled out K* because he would not call my re-raise hoping it would show up. The worst case scenario is suited K*. However, I saw that the chance is very low and guessed he has mid-strength card heart suited. I followed a pot-sized bet because I wanted to make him pay large if he wants to see the river. Also, I think the pot-size is good enough to take it now. The only problem I had was sizing my initial bet. Q10 is not bad but not good. I do not like limping. However, it was a micro table and anything can happen (as my opponent do not know how to play his position or strength of his cards). Overall, I think I did a good job.

There is also a possibility of J2 but again the chance was slim. Q2, T9 and AT would have smaller chance because I had one of them.

Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you.

He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step.

Interesting hand aznhaxor!

You didn't limp preflop, you were in the BB. There's nothing wrong in taking a free flop when you're out of position with a pretty marginal hand!

I think leading out is good. As no-one raised preflop, there's a good chance you have the best hand and there's also a good chance that the flop would just check through if you didn't bet. However, I think you should bet bigger because it's multiway and you want to charge a big price for draws. Something like $0.07 seems better.

This raise really sucks. Generally, people play more honestly in multiway pots and even if your hand is best, there are so many bad turn cards for you that your hand will be very difficult to play OOP. There's no reason why villain can't have KQ, QJ, AQ, 22, even Q2s/J2s aren't impossible as he just limped from the BTN. I'd just fold here.

I don't like the raise, you're bloating the pot OOP with a marginal hand that doesn't even have that good equity vs his semi-bluffs (heart draws, KT, T9 and combo draws). What are you going to do vs a shove? The other problem is you haven't raise big enough to price him out of his draws, he's getting 2.5:1 on a call which is the correct price to call with some of his draws.

The turn is now really tough. As you say, he could easily have Kx in some of his draws, KQ is now never folding. You've also picked up some equity so I don't think betting is bad. I think if you're going to bet pot you might as well just go all in as you're not going to fold if he moves all in himself. Of course the other option is to bet like $0.60 and fold to a shove.

It worked this time, but in general I would be very wary about overplaying marginal hands in MW pots, particularly when everyone's ranges are so wide and you're OOP.

Thank you, Spand42. Your input was priceless.

This is question to Royalraiser, "is it possible to finish my bankroll promotion in two days?"

I found out I need to watch a live session and I do watch from time to time. In fact, I watched Dave's Tcoop today at 3pm.

The reason is I want to deposit my money asap but I want to finish my bankroll promotion before I do it (otherwise I will not be eligible for the rest of the promotion, right?) The problem is the next session is not within two days so I wonder if you can be generous with the bankroll promotion rules.
