Is there any advantage to entering late? I entered a LAPT and was surprised to see that 10 minutes after it started people could still join in. My question is since it is a 10 cent game could I enter and play a loose style game the early rounds and try to build a stack lead or if I bust out to re-register and play my normal game?

late registration only means that you can join the game anytime up until the registration period closes. It does not mean that you can rejoin a game after you have busted. The only games where you can reload (not rejoin) are in rebuy games and these are always identified as such in the game information.

Thanks for the info. Is there any advantage to registering late? It seems that if you wait you have an advantage. Am I WRONG?

I only register late if I can get in at the end and basically not even have to play a hand to cash in it (very, very rare). Otherwise, I want to be involved from the beginning of the tourney, so I can get as many chips as I can from the fish that are still in at the beginning of the tourney.

It all depends on the blinds and starting stack size when you choose to enter and the time that has elapsed in my opinion if it's a large field tournament with say 3000 starting stack 15minute blinds and 60minute extended registration, than there isn't much downside to entering at 59minutes as the blinds are still small text enough to not have to shove/fold and you have saved yourself a hour in a tournament. This is the only reason to enter late otherwise if it's a turbo the blinds will be too high and if your card dead you'll get blinded out before playing a hand. Also as mentioned you miss out on all the fish wiling to just give you chips. Game wise there isn't any benefit to entering late unless you were busy when it started.

My top 3 wins (not great amounts) were all late reg at 55 min in turbo games. HAPPY
