No stats whatsoever, new to the player pool, just checking my line here.

Most shortstackers do not call 3bets out of position, usually having a tight/wide opening range and stacking off with it pre a decent amount of the time, not this one.

When he leads flop, his range is still quite wide in my mind, I dont have any info to know whether he leads out on this flop with top pair, draws, sets etc.

Given it was a 3bet pot against a 40bb stack, am I best just getting the money in now? If not, potential different line?

In before birdayy says standard

The only thing I can say constructively is that I would 3b a bit smaller than this vs. a short stack, give him more room to make calling and raising mistakes.

The stack to pot ratio on the flop is very small, and villain's donk indicates he's got a piece. Probably not a set, as I'd expect him to check/jam those. Fist pump and put him in imo.

Yeah, felt I couldnt do anything else but put him in, but I actually got it in with the best hand but as an equity dog as he had the combo straight/flush/straight flush draw and bricked out.

Just not too used to shorties taking this line too often.
