People will come up with anything around here to toot their own horns. We need a section just for people to self gloss themselves.

Is that really what you think it is?

If so, I'll be glad to remove it - I was posting information on mainly what the average scores it took to win, and place were and what the top scores were - and who were the most consistent winners.

Some people read WAY too much into things.

AH forget it, you know, trying to do something that other's might enjoy just isn't worth it anymore.

I don't need to brag about my play. Come to my table and I'll let my actions do my talking.

'Nuff said.

Hazy,
I don't know what you did to tee these people off, but I found the information interesting. Thank you for the post.

Steve,

There is a difference between bragging and confidence.

Anyone that knows me, knows I am quite humble about my game (most of the time) and I for one, know that I STILL have a lot to learn.

I work very, very hard at this game, and at being the best possible player I can, and I feel that there is no one on this site, or in this world, who I am afraid of - in any type of poker game. Respect, yes. Fear, no.

As I said, if anyone mistook this for braggadicio, I apologize - I compiled this list for myself (mainly to see what kind of numbers it took on average to place in a league) and decided to share it. Perhaps that was my mistake (sharing it).

I found the information useful also Hazy. I frequently look back at leagues top players to see approximately what one needs to score to get some sponsor points. Keep up the good work and if you find a good way to blow your own instrument, PM me.

Names have been removed - it is purely just numbers now.

Hazy,

If you don't like to toot your own horn, then what do you call that article you wrote for Poker Pages? I'm a little confused.

The article I wrote for Poker Pages is creative fiction (I believe there is a disclaimer at the top saying as much).

Hazy, I found the information very useful.

Personally, I would not have gone back and removed the names.

Heck, if you can't be confident, you should not be playing poker.

If I did not think I was any good at poker, I would try another game. Hence the reason you will NOT find me on the golf course at the WPO.

hazy,

i just read your post since i haven't been online in a little while and found it interesting as i often look back, too, at the previous leagues to see where i might need to be to finish "in the money". the information would also be useful if it were updated monthly. i was disappointed to see that you removed the names b/c of some comments. i really don't understand why anybody would get upset at somebody gloating even though i didn't see anything in hazy's post which implied that.

isn't poker a competitive game? shouldn't one be proud of their accomplishments? if it wasn't so competitive, i'd play something else. what's the point of having a 'bragging rights' section if people get bashed for bragging? so, brag away people, and, hazy, put those names back in the post, please, as i am too lazy to match it up myself.

hazy,

Don't let others manipulate you into doing something you don't really want to do.

I say put the names back.

Hazy,

You know I respect your game so I thought I would let you know I just found a hole in it. It appears you can be put on tilt by meaningless drivel. I would put this down in my notes on you but I suspect you will fix it faster than I can write it. Learn all the lessons my friend.
