Hi guys,

This hand is pretty straight forward. Just wanted to confirmation if you guys believe this was just an unlucky hand.

Villain was an unknown

Please see my thought process below:

Preflop

Holding the pocket rockets, therefore a raise (value bet is in order)

Flop

Villain bets small, I thought of this as a weak holding (A FD blocking bet to see a free card) so I discount the weak bet, and bet for value.

Villain now raises me. Now to me this looks strong, but I don't think it would be wise (when I don't know anything about the villain) to just put him on a set. I say this because of his stack size.

So I felt I would just shove now, hoping that I was good. I think I had to be good 15% of the time to call his bet. Anymone else doing the same here - given his stack size?

Surely Standard, Standard, STANDARD!

Cheers,

Matt

OTF he make a ridiculous bet of 25ct in a pot of $1,50 into 2 persons. You make a fine sized raise and he minbets you leaving just 40cents behind.

Not very standaard, imo. I would say this looks really really strong so yeah I deffo see agruments of folding AA on his 3bet OTF.

But... I'm sure, I would shove here too, like you did against a shortstacker.

Villain 8 should have really been folding to the 3 bet pre he only start the hand with 50ishBB, he could well have been pushing a FD TP or STR D. I think this is, as you say a 'standard' spot If however the 6 seat hung around after the flop action i would have been folding a ton... GL at the tables Euan

With less than 1.5 SPR I am committing with Aces. I think we can also call and bet the rest OTT we allow them to bet with all their weak Qx.

Standard given the stack sizes, although a donkbet in a multiway pot is often strong. If the donkbet was a little bigger I'd just call, but raising to get committed is fine in this spot.
