Villian was prettty solid, but this is the particular spot in im not sure, the math says i need about 40% equity due to 1:40 pot odds ofered, the villian was a 25/6 with 17 steal , i have about 48% agains a 17% range and then that would be corret, but im not sure .

Hi scarface763!

What are the numbers on the BB? That's the key here. Also, what type of tourney is this from and what is MY table image?

For a standard cash MTT:

If I'm only up against the button, then I should be calling their bet with about a 37% range and KQo is well within this... BUT... the BB is another shorter stack.

If the BB is playing tight and especially if they're passive, then I'll re-shove to isolate the button.

If the BB is loose, then that totally changes things, as I'll end up in a 3-way pot. Even if the second opp is playing say a 30% range, then that lowers my hand equity down to 31%. This hand equity amount is lower than what my pot equity would be, so it's a marginal fold (about a -2% EV play).

If I'm viewed as tight, then it will make the BB fold more, which would lead me more toward a shove. If the BB sees me as loose, then they're more likely to call, so I would tend more toward a fold.

If this is from some other type of tourney, then all of this may not apply. Please always include all of the info that you can about the tourney and the opps, as the more information that you provide, the better response that we will be able to give you.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.

sorry about the lack of info (it was quite a bit since my last posts) , the btn was a 25 vpip , 6 pfr ,and 17 & steal but only have 54 hands(i think it was this numbers you are asking for) the tournament was a progressive super knockout 2.20 1k guaranteed and we were itm but not deep arround 400 players left. And the BB seems pretty tight 13/2 , but only 6 hands...

With it being a progressive KO and I'm already ITM, I'd gladly take a slightly -EV spot in order to try to get 2 KO's. With this being the case, I'd shove every time here.
