Early in the tournament -preflop in this situation there is only 1 hand ahead ,

So

1 What are the odds that UTG has this only hand? Readless i would take the odds and shove ,
2 I don't want to invite others to get equity postflop
3 Calling you lose more than 15% of your stack .
4 There is enough dead money on the table 240 +240+40+20=540 that is already 30 % of your stack that you could win right away

Options:

Only one- Shove (doesnt matter if somebody else wakeups with AA behind you - its just bad luck)

I think that I have to call this. I'd have a strong chance to make a monster stack going into the final stages.

But I guess it could depend on how much of a skill edge you have on the field. If you have a large edge you don't need to get involved in this. If you edge is small (or non-existent like mine) you have to take this chance.

Ship it in every day that ends in D-A-Y. I'm behind only one hand, AA. To call here, I have 34% pot equity. Even if both opps are nits, say a 3% range for one and a 5% range for the other... my KK still has 43.5% hand equity (+9.5%EV). If the opps are wider, then I'm in even better shape. For example, if they're both playing a 25% range, I'm a 2-1 favorite and have a +28.5%EV play!

This is too big of an edge to pass up.

How can you be playing this Brian ? when you are in the US and I don't believe that you are a first time depositor.

So here is what happen and why it played this way

I know you guys will understand when I say this:
You know that feeling you get in your gut,
that says fold?
Get out of this hand?
Something Is not right here?

That is what happen and as much as I like to go with my gut it is hard to believe in yourself at times and in this spot 999 times out of 1,000 I shoving it in there.

As soon as I saw all these guys get there stacks in I knew one had AA and I should have just folded as my gut told me to.

Poker is about so many different things Odds, reads, hands, ect but believing in ones self and going with your gut is a part of the game we all have and may not always give the weight to that it deserves.

Here is how the hand played out

Seats: 9
Seat 1: CUTOFF (1,530)
Seat 2: BUTTON (990)
Seat 4: SB (1,465)
Seat 5: BB (928)
Seat 7: UTG (1,385)
Seat 8: UTG +1 (1,687)
Seat 9: TOO2COO (1,540)
Button is seat 2
SB : posts small blind 20
BB : posts big blind 40
*** HOLE CARDS ***
TOO2COO: dealt [Ks Kd]
UTG : raises 240
UTG +1 : calls 240
TOO2COO : calls 240
CUTOFF : raises all-in 1,530
BUTTON : folds
SB : folds
BB : folds
UTG : calls all-in 1,145
UTG +1 : calls 1,290
TOO2COO : folds

*** FLOP *** [2d 4c 4d]
*** TURN *** [2d 4c 4d] [6s]
*** RIVER *** [2d 4c 4d] [6s] [Jd]
*** SUMMARY ***
Pot: 4,745 | Rake: 0 |
Board: [2d 4c 4d 6s Jd]
Seat 1: CUTOFF lost -1,530 [Kh Ad]
Seat 2: BUTTON didn't bet
Seat 4: SBl lost -20
Seat 5: BB lost -40
Seat 7: UTG lost -1,385 [As Ac]
Seat 8: UTG +1 won 4,745 (+3,215) [Jc Jh]
Seat 9: TOO2COO lost -240

I went on for a 5th place finish for $25.00 and for me at this site was nice as it doubled my Bankroll.

I guess the reason I wanted to share this hand after talking with a few others was to show that there is more to playing poker then hands and odds if you not have faith in yourself at times it be the only thing that may make the difference in winning and losing.

Remember poker is about so much more then the cards you hold

Thanks for being part of PSO, and Best of Luck at the Tables
