After 7+ hours of grinding I finally got rewarded with a big pay day! A cool $150 that almost doubled my BR! I couldn't have done it without all the advice I got on PSO, so thanks PSO!

Awesome job Simon!

I'm sure you can continue posting solid results and building your roll, your game seems to suit MTTs very well!

Also, what advice would you give to those of us looking to grind out MASSIVE fields and still find an FT at the end of it??

First a little background : I've been playing online for a little over two months, qualified for the Premier League in November and finished in the top 500. I am pretty much a breakeven player so far in MTTs but I am looking to get better and watching lots of training videos on PSO.

I liked the concept of Hannyug, running the decathlon, so I chose to run the microstakes marathon.

Schedule

30 X $1.10 MTTs

Total buy-in = $33, divided into 3% shares worth $0.99, or 1,5% shares for $0.50 (0,495 rounded up). Each $0.99 is worth 3% of my total winnings.

The MTTs I will be playing will be the following :
5h45 PM ET, 1000 Cap $500 Gtd
6h00 PM ET, $2,5K Gtd
7h00 PM ET, $1,5K Gtd

I don't really feel that having made one very deep run in a tourney qualifies me to give out advice like that! But if I could think of one thing I remember that I tried doing in the mid-late stages is try to identify where my chips would come from, that is which villains I would try and steal from, which ones would pay me off lightly. Other than that I made a few big laydowns agains passive villains raising out of line, and of course I ran extremely well, my big hands holding up, sucking out a couple times including A8 vs AQ 5 handed to double up and briefly hold the chip lead!

But yeah, man, patience, patience, patience. I played 11/12/6 in the event. Picked my spots. 3bet/reshoved a lot. And got lucky. Because you have to at some point to get deep in those massive fields. Which is why I grind smaller fields usually!
