Well done 4lifenolife!

You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

Step Two

The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player.

Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in.

Best of Luck!

Great job 4lifenolife!

You passed the Cash Game Quiz and know you've shown that you have a great understanding of the fundementals of playing poker. We have now credited your account with your 2nd bonus.

Step Three

Please play a 1/2 cent Real Money table at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

NB: You must post a Cash Game hand only, tournament hands do not count for this promotion. You must use the Hand Replayer only to post your hand, we cannot accept hands posted in any other way.

Hi there; so with this hand I was dealt I have a few questions...

First of all...

Me raising to 3BB preflop with QJ Off is something I'll do whenever am dealt it.
But what am not sure about here is me calling 0.13 with only a pair of queens I mean anyone could have an an ace here.

On the turn my hand greatly improves but I was worried about someone having an AQ as soon as the the turn comes up player Villan 3 bets 0.43 this had me really worried and wasn't sure if I should call or not.
In a major tournament I think I would've folded since am not sure if it would be the right decision or not.

On the river comes the J giving me a full house and a very obvious straight to anyone with a king.
I felt that I made a few decisions that I shouldn't have even though it did work out for me.

How can I improve?

Great 4lifenolife!

We now have credited your account with your 3rd bonus and You're doing a fantastic job so far!

Now take some time and using the information you've learned so far evaluate this hand and ask yourself the following questions:

1. Was my starting hand good enough to play from this position?

2. Did I evaluate the strength of my hand postflop?

3. Was my bet-sizing correct?

When at PokerSchoolOnline you are welcome post many hands for discussion in our Hand Review Forum and we encourage you to do so (you should copy your questions there). Here's a video to help you understand Cash Game poker better.

You've still got one bonus to receive.

Step Four

Attend any LIVE TRAINING session here at PokerSchoolOnline. You must actually attend the session to get your bonus.

Please let us know what Live Training session you have attended. NB It must be a live training session that takes place after this post was posted. Past live training sessions do not count.

Let us know the Date/Time and Title of the session you attend and we will check your attendance and credit you with your final bonus. If you make a deposit at this stage you will also receive your final bonus.

Hi there; I attended the live training session "Turbo Time" from 15:00ET to 16:00ET

EDIT: Forgot to answer the questions :/

1. Was my starting hand good enough to play from this position?

I think QJ Off is a great hand to play from the button considering all the draws and starting hand equity you get.

2. Did I evaluate the strength of my hand postflop?

Postflop I didnt think my hand was too good anyone couldve had an ace but I continued calling to maybe land a K on the turn or river.

3. Was my bet-sizing correct?

I do believe that not raising throughout the hand was the correct play because of all the hands other players could have had. AQ specifically. I hit the nuts on the river so I shipped it.
