OK on the end we take the money but no matter what the result is
did I play maybe to passive? In my opinion I should bet the turn but i was thinking ok he check twice so i will get one street of value(if i get it at all) let it be the last one. How do you comment his game? bad, very good and at all what hand he has, or it is to obvious??

An absolute nit generally has a tighter range which will tend to pay us off more often.

Because of this I prefer barreling to get value from said range.

If you did check the flop (which isn't that bad tbh vs a wider range), then turn is a mandatory barrel. We rep a lot of 9x, weak Jx and pocket pairs when we check flop, and those hands would be expected to bet turn for protection / value.

Yes, it's likely he'll fold but we still need to bet. He still has a range that will call turn.

I think you are just getting a bit too trappy for your own good.

I'm guessing you got lucky with him binking pocket fours. Most of the case this won't happen and you'll be loosing value in the long run.

Hey rudar47,

I guess your title should read vs tight reg in SB and not BB.
I do agree with what birdayy said, we have a strong hand and we want to maximize value by getting 3+ streets of value.
39 hands don't say too much about our villain though his stats do look nitty. If we are checking the flop, we have to bet the turn though I'm not a big fan of slow playing but given the board is somewhat dry and its unlikely villain would have QT, T8, KT type of hands then we might get away by checking the flop to get more action on the next two streets. Either way, if we are going to get 2 streets of value from PPs we can get one on the flop, one on the turn or river.
