I don't know how should I have played it. Can you tell me what should be my flop action. I have 29BB and the UTG player had 22 BB. And 6 players behind me yet to act.

It's a turbo game 5mins with multiple Day 1's

I have few questions:

1) Should we flat his raise or 3-bet (Coz I like to 3-bet to avoid overcallers esp. from SB & BB)

2) If we can 3-bet then to what amount

3) What is our plan if UTG player calls our 3-bet, because stack sizes will be very awkared on the flop after he calls my 3-bet and assuming I miss the flop like 7 9 Q rainbow. What will we do when he checks to us after calling our 3-bet. I think there will approx pot size bet left in his stack (as his stack is smaller than mine). So I don't know wheather we will be shoving any board even if we miss it or just give up.

4) What if he 4-bet jams preflop only.

Hi Adikumar

I think flatting is ok and it could induce someone behind you to make a light reshove in which case we can comfortably call if WildDog folds but if WildDog decides to either call the reshove or shove all in himself we will be getting a great price with a hand that's likely to have a decent amount of equity/be the best hand.

AK is a hand that we ought to very rarely be folding in a turbo tournament. The action is fast and aggressive and hand holdings are generally much lighter than they would be in a non turbo format.

In a non turbo format I like the flat vs someone we have little information on but in this format where the need for chips is so high I would prefer to make a larger sized 3bet than average to avoid any post flop awkwardness. I'd ake it a full 3x 3bet, so 3600 and if we get flatted we can call any stop and go or if checked to us we can bet all in ourselves as villain will have close to a pot sized bet left. Most villains will either fold or jam but we will be flatted from time to time hence the larger size 3 bet.

Cheers, Chris.

I got excited and made a stupid shove with 29BB, I should have made a 6BB 3-bet and then call his 4-bet shove. As my 3-bet will sometimes pick up 3-bet cold callers with worst hand like AQ AJs KQs as they like suited broadway doesn't matter if there has been 3-bet.
