Hey

Villian is 23/18 with small sample. His donk confused me, i thought he could do it with Ax, and flush draws, didn't think he could donk with set...

I would raise his donk and fold, reason why is its unlikely he his re raising Ax and very unlikely he wants to re raise with a draw and we block Kxs so this looks like an easy raise fold to me on the flop.

I have seen this situation quite often at 5nl, and the majority of the time villain had a set. It's a strong move, as they are showing weakest on the flop, hoping that you will raise, so then they come over the top with their monster. Don't get me wrong, you should still raise their flop bet - as it was minute; as sometimes they are trying to showdown a weak hand, but fold to his re-raise as Mike said.

This also happens preflop, where someone raises, villain 1 calls, someone squeezes, and then villain 1 raises all-in. Again the majority of the time in this situation (from what I have seen) villain 1 has a monster such as AA.

Cheers,

Matt

In multiway pots on wet flops, people are much more likely to donkbet their value hands for protection vs all the draws that might be out there.

I like raising the initial tiny donkbet as this is often going to be some weak Ax or flush draw that won't fold to a raise.

However when villain then raises you, I think his range is suddenly much more narrow and is now pretty much only two pair plus so I'd just believe him and fold.
