Above is my player audit results from the start of my account to present day. It shows the stakes, how many games played at those stakes, and what the balance at those stakes is.

This blog is going to be a presentation of my monthly achievements so i'll be posting the information above and we'll be able to compare it to the previous month and see where i'm at.

The aim is to turn all of the "-"'s into "+"'s and hopefully one day take my game to the professional level.

My bankroll management is going to be simple. 50X buy in for cash. 100x buy in for stt's and 200 x buy in for mtt's.

I will post the same numbers as above on a monthly basis for comparison and hopefully at some point i will be able to look at getting staked for higher games than i can currently afford.

But for now i'm just putting my aim's in the public domain to maybe increase my determination to achieve my goals.

Thanks for reading and hopefully have some other things to put here in future .

Ok so it's been a slow start to the month as i spent half of it doing the above chart but i finally got a day to concentrate on poker and boy oh boy i wish i didn't own a computer right now.
Talk about tilt, today has been one of the worst day's of poker i have ever experienced.
It started off early this morning and just got worse. I couldn't hit anything. My raises we're getting called in 3,4,5 and even 6 spots, my blind steals we're running into monsters, and my monsters we're turned into cuddly toys.
I did manage a couple of small cashes in my tournaments but that was only due to a couple of fluke hands and basically sitting out till the money.
The final straw came just a few minutes ago. Having switched my cash off after getting trounced for the umpteenth time and deciding to let my tournaments play out and wrap things up i started to get a glimpse of luck. I've been trying a couple of 25cent 90 man stt's since apparently i profited earlier in my pokerstars time and the first i managed a 13th place for the min cash. sitting in my 2nd one i'm up to around 6k of chips. that's the first tournament i have running. Then i've got my 11 cent mtt running good. i'm up to around 11k in chips so sitting quite pretty. And then i've got my 3rd tournament which is the 27cent tourney where i'm just above starting stack.
So 3 tournaments running and my focus shifts to the 27cent tourney where i'm sitting on around 3100 chips or so. UTG+1 or 2 raises from blinds of 20/40 to 140. I'm sitting on QQ and there's one caller so i raise it up to 720. Once again i get called by not 1, not 2 but 3 people call my massive raise. Ok here we go again i think but the flops low. only 8 high. Action on the other tables then i look back to see a shove and a call. I obviously call and jesus christ so does the 4th guy. Now we're looking at a 12k pot on an 8 high flop with no flushes or straights. So hands should be AK,AQ,AJ or any pair AA to 1010. Or that's what you would think. Not a chance. OR has got KJ, next has A4 and 3rd guy has A7. What the hell is going on. the turn and river bring a J and a K and once again i get stuffed by what has to be the most rediculous hand i have ever seen.
Well that was the straw before the straw that broke the cammels back. I'm out of the tournament so 2 tournies left. I looks at my stt and i've got K10. i'm in the small blind there's one caller so i make up the blind. flop comes 10 high. Tilted off those queens i shoves expecting a walk. Nope not on pokerstars. I get's called in both spots. The bb has 10 2 and the other guy has Q9 so no idea why he's in but hey thats what we're dealing with here. now the important thing to note is there's 2 hearts on board, i dont' have a heart and the BB has the 2 of hearts. So you know what's coming. ding, ding, ding, That's right runner runner hearts and i lose the hand. Now i had 6k and the guy had 1300 or so so it wasn't a massive hit but it was enough to tip me over the edge.
Suffice to say i all inned every hand on both tournaments till i donked myself out of them. I probaly could have cashed in both but to be honest after what i'd just witnessed and the day i have had i really really really did not want to look at another hand. At least for today.

Boy i know you get downswings but i expect it to be things like hands not holding or the simple things like AK AQ situations but those queens and that 102 just totally blew my head.

Well the one thing i'm happy with today is i didn't break my laptop this time but boy i'm gonna give it a day before i open the client again.

Well here's hoping for a strong end to the month because it sure can not get any worse that it has been today.

That's my ranting over time for a beer (or 12) and some t.v.

Variance can be brutal sometimes phoenix. Just take a day off and you'll play much better with a clearer head the next time you hit the felt

Ok so after a good night's sleep i'm all pumped up to make my last day off count. Put the disaster's of yesterday behind me and start afresh. My 1st tournament of the day went badly but i know that was my own fault so it's all good but i've cleared my head. taken a breather and i'm now ready.

Variance. Well it's a son of a gun but it's part of poker but variance intertwined with players that really don't give a damn makes for that perfect storm i encountered yesterday. Brutal as it was i managed to stay above the waterline and although i lost in almost every tournament and lost on almost every cash table i managed to not let it effect my brm which i think is a crucial step as it's all too easy to be playing with the fishes and getting brutalised and think about moving up to try and leave them behind. But i kept it tight, i kept as cool a head as i could and altogether my losses we're negligable.

Well time to get started and first off a little music to lighten the mood

I have to say that this has been a difficult month. Bad varience. Some very bad opponents and some poor performances have seen me nearly quit the game.

One of the worst mistakes i made was entering an 8 game sit n go. Boy oh boy talk about not paying attention. I was trying to complete one of the football fever challenges which was to play and win a HU sit n go. How i ended up in an 8 game is beyond me.
I literally had to read the rules as i played and try and figure out the game as i went along. Talk about learning on the hoof. I enjoyed it though and when i have time i might give it a more serious go but for now it's definitely off my list of games to play
My cash game went badly i suppose but i haven't been playing as much as i would have liked. I have distractions in the real world keeping me from concentrating full which i'm working on and i hope to decrease that negative to at least -$35 this month.
My big + point was zoom. I needed a couple of VPP's to ensure my seat in the premier leage for this month so decided an hour of zoom before work would do the job. I bought in for $1 and with some favourable cards and some good results i managed to walk away with $5.04 bringing my zoom balance into the black. I hope to make a bit more time for zoom this month also so i can maybe get the balance up to $5.
My stt's and mtt's have been pretty terrible really. Very few cashes and been crashing out very early in a lot of tournaments lately. Maybe my head hasn't been in the right place but i'm getting there.

Well guys thanks for reading and hopefully have better news next month.

The grind Begins...................again
