I had an opportunity tonite (Sat.) to speak with Teresa Somerfield and she has advised me, that ALL of the poker rate rooms at the Horseshoe and Gold Strike for Jan 9, 10, and 11th are SOLD OUT. She still has a block of rooms held at Ballys and the Holiday Inn, with the same rate, but should you still need a room and wish to book at one of these places, you need to call her ASAP. Both of these places are within a mile of the Horseshoe and GS. I'm not sure about shuttle service from them, so be sure and ask her if you are booking one of these.

I've got a reservation at poker rates at the Goldstrike, but can't go. I was about to call up and cancel. Think anyone wants it?

I've made arrangements to transfer the reservations. Good luck to all who make the trip. Have a good time and bring home the cash.

Spades,
Yes, you must book your own room. The registration for the tournament and seminar was only for the PSO events. You need to call Teresa at the Horseshoe and tell her that you want a room at the "poker rate" for the WPO on the dates you will be here. DO NOT MENTION PSO...just that you want a "poker rate" room for the dates. If she says you have to stay at the Holiday Inn, or Ballys...If I were you, I'd pick the Holiday Inn..it's much nicer. You will need to ask her about transportation, also.
The number is 1-800-558-2387. ask for Teresa Somerfield.

Spades,

If you need a room, and would prefer one at the casinos, I wouldn't care to split expenses with a roommate. I've got a room at the Goldstrike from the 8th - 13th

Maxxel,

I would like the room. Email me blcarty@lycos.com if it is still available.
