I was deeply saddened to hear that German poker professional Johannes Strassmann has been confirmed as deceased today.

The 29-year-old went missing last week in Slovenia and today a body was identified as that of Johannes.

I express my deepest condolences and sympathy to his family and friends at this difficult time.

I was so sad when I heard this. He really was one of those genuinely nice, happy guys and well liked in the poker community. He recently made a comeback to the EPT circuit after a while away and it was great to be able to watch him play again. He will be missed and my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
