Been playing and trying to improve my cash game recently and focusing a lot on non-showdown winning spots.

Just wanted to hear some thought processes on the line I took and if I butchered it.

1500 hands on this reg 17/10 pretty standard tag stats but af 0.9 and likes to fold post flop.

Hi Jez,

I think the line is fine... I would taylor it to his c-betting stats though and you aren't using those (not given anyway). But raise flop or float flop/raise turn, or double float/raise river all might be viable steal lines. Not sure what his barreling frequencies are but this is a turn card you could consider calling, and there will be a number of bluffing rivers for you in addition to the ones you make the back door flush.

With the line you did choose however, I think the sizing is too small, we need to raise to between 2.50-3 to set up stacks on the river. You're repping a set with this line, so think about how you would play it if you actually flopped a set and mimic that. If you make it 2.50 and he calls, there'll be 6.47 in the pot and he'll have 6.10 left, so you can move in on the river with great pressure being applied.
