I think X/calling is the best line here? I think if we bet we're going to be raised by sets as well as flushes? Or do you think this villain will only raise flushes and call with sets? Maybe bet/folding is best?

Just looking for confirmation on best line to take here:
Villain is pretty much unknown. 4 tabling from Austria
16 hands: 13/0/0.5

Hi dirt,

I would check/call the river in this spot, for 2 reasons really.

1) I don't know what to do if I get raised after betting this card, the money is deep enough that I'll want to throw up.

2) What would we be targeting for value anyway? This is a scary card to all the non-flush holdings, how much more value can we eek out of Jx?

With no tangible read yet other than the villain is 4 tabling, I'd prefer to take an inducing line on this depth of money, and the fact that it's going to be really hard to get a 3rd street of value from jacks if we bet doesn't dissuade me from that line of thought.

For clarity, I think we will often only get called by sets if we 3 barrel on this run out with this river particularly, but don't feel a need to value bet vs. undersets because A) it's hard to make a set and B) he will likely value bet sets himself if checked to.

He may make some bluffs though, if he double floated he will rep the scare card and he may take modest 1 pair hands and try to move us off what he perceives as a no longer strong (but better than his) 1 pair.
