I don`t have reads on my opponents, but they are loose-passive.

I think c-betting 2nd pair on this flop should be ok, but what about turn and river.

Should I give up on blank turn after they both call?

The river does complete some straights, but I thought I could get value from 10x hands. Is shoving river ok?

And I don`t know what a guy with AJ was thinking lol.

Hi Delta,

I think c-betting is fine here, it helps protect our equity vs. overcards by denying them a free turn, and it sets up some profitable barreling on a number of turn cards... J,9,8,7,6, or club is 24 cards that improve our hand in some way and allow us to double barrel.

With that line of thought in mind, I think you can see what I'm going to say next. We got a series of bad events after our c-bet. V9 called, then V1 called, both having position on us. Then the turn card is not in "our" half of the deck. And it doesn't even change top pair in a way that the preflop raiser could represent like an ace or king. Basically, after our c-bet everything went wrong. I think our turn betting frequency should be much lower than normal in this case, and I would not fire the 2nd barrel. Given the pot is multi-way, if either bet, I would just release my hand, giving them credit for enough hands that are beating us to make continuing not a good idea.

As played the river is close between shoving and check/calling imo, either one is probably fine. The thing though is with us 3 barreling even top pair shouldn't want to call this last bet, we've shown strength that is greater than top pair by this point in the hand. Obv vs. weaker players they call anyway though, top pair is the nuts to a fish. So it's fine given the general strength of the field at this point in the MM SS edition.

Thx Dave, yea after I watched the hand I really could`t justify my 2nd barrel OTT. But in the heat of the game you just make dose minor mistakes i guess.
