Hi dduvshani!

With KQo from MP, I'm going to make a standard opening raise, which for this blind level is to 3BB+1BB for each limper (120).

I see a 4-way flop and have an opp make an abnormally small bet. I need to raise here and raises need to be sized based on the number of opps in the pot, size of the pot and board texture. With 3 opps in the pot, a standard sizing is 3/4 pot (570 chips).... HOWEVER... this is over 1/3 of my remaining chips, which means that I'm pot-committed and cannot fold if I make this bet. Due to this, I'm shoving!

When playing standard cash tournaments, if 1/3 of my chips are going into the middle, I need to put all of them in. I do not want to make a bet where I leave the opps a play later in the hand where they expect to gain chips from me as I want to have the opps make plays against me where they expect to lose chips to me.. not gain chips from me.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.
