Hi,

Fear of the dreaded AA.

This is not a bragging post.

My question is more about a bet sizing issue. Is it right to shove here, or should I be making a 4bet of say $1.75?

Since I had only half my stack left, I thought just shove it in.

Cheers,

Matt

I stopped looking at your shove to prevent my judgement to be spoiled (which you kinda already did in your text "not a brag-hand" )

If you were deeper, I would deff 4bet to smt like $1.50 - $1.75, but in this case I really don't mind shoving.
The problem with not shoving is that both villains might call your 4bet and you dont want to play KK 3way.
I also believe your shove is for value. It's not like only AA would call. I think QQ, AK, AQs will call. Maybe even lesser hands like JJ, TT, JTs if you hooked a nice fish.
All those hands are in his 3bet range for sure.

Spot on

The first that 3bet had AK, the other that cold called had QQ.

Glad I won. The first ended up making a flush, but I had a Fullhouse 888KK.

Cheers,

Matt

Not a bragging post but that was a great pot xD How do you feel about playing Zoom without a HUD? Haven't play for that same reason and I'm still waiting for HM2 to work properly...

I don't really like not playing without a HUD. It's funny though that most of the time I don't have reads - stat wise - on villains anyway. I like to use the stealing stats while I am on the button, as now I don't know if I should steal with any two cards.

It feels bare!

Cheers,

Matt

I like your value-shove. In your situation, I'd be quite happy just picking up all that dead money. I don't want to a play a bloated pot OOP where any high cards (including aces, obviously) on the flop are really scary.
I'm not keen on villain's calls with AK and QQ. 4-bet jams at these limits are nearly always KK+ imo, especially multiway, as I've found to my cost when I've called with AK/QQ.
