How do you consistently score a lot of points playing POSL Freeroll? I've only finished in the Top 2000 once in 1.5 years of playing this freeroll and that was August 2013 (1910.08 points, ranking #1797. I have made the final 9 in this tournament twice. On Dec 31,2012: finished 1st and outlasting 9331 other players for $5.52 USD and on Apr 24,2013 where I finished 5th and outlasting 7957 other players out of 7962 players for $0.40 USD. I've played this freeroll 196 times and have finished in the top 15% 51 times so far (26% of the time in the money).

Play extremely tight. These are designed to teach patience. Only play premium hands early and don't have any early exits is the key.

Play very few hands early as you loose points if you bust early.

Try and see who on your table cares about the league and who is just there for the $10pp, take notes on players as you will see them again.

Once the antes kick in try and pick up pots on the cheap.

And play as often as you can!

Whatever you do you have to see the first break. Never commit your full stack unless you've got the nuts(REALLY the NUTS). Shoving AA early and getting beat when somebody calls with 2 7 off and hits a boat is going to happen. Once your into the 2nd hour choose your spots And build a stack. On a full 10000 entry it is easy to hit sub 1000th place. Patience is key.

All good advice above, passter. If one of the Admin's cares to move this to the appropriate section of the forum, you'll find a lot more useful discussions there. Survival to avoid big negative results is the key. GL
