What is the correct way to play this hand, I slow played AA preflop HU mainly coz if I raise he will fold as we are both around 20BB. So he will never call light if I shove there.

He wasn't doing any super maniac stuff, but I know he can't fold draws. He was playing like a semi-fish. If I 3-bet small he might call with K9o and the action would have been same bet, shove, call.

But I want to know what's the best preflop move for me and then what to do on the flop?

I am Heads-up. Buyin of the tournament is $4.16 and around 110 players. 1st place is $175 and 2nd place is $150. So not very huge pay-jump.

In this hand I am on the BB and the opponent is on the button/SB. He min raise and I flat call AA.

My stack is 148,330 (19BB) and Villain's stack is 200,000 (25BB)

Blinds 4000/8000

Hi Adi,

I prefer to 3-bet this spot in general, although I will generally chose a line based off the flow of HU play with the villain, so there are times I might flat, 3b small, or 3b rip.

Absent any game flow considerations, I would 3-bet to about 33K, if called cbet the flop like 25-ish which should drag along any made hands, draws, and some bluffs to shove over us on the flop as it looks like we are leaving ourselves room to fold.
