One of the early hands of the SNG, the guy in early position was limping a lot with weakish hands, didn't know much about the guys in the blinds so far. Really struggled to decide what the bet by the limper meant. I felt that he was betting small on the turn with a flush draw. So frustrating losing to idiots playing trash like this.

Should I be getting away from this? With myself getting pot committed again I had only the option to push or fold on the turn.

I guess the main thing to remember with this is that I'm in a multiway pot, and means it is more likely somebody has a hand.

Hi sjb958!

With AK on the button and a limper in front of me, I’m going to make a standard raise to 80 (3BB+1BB for each limper).

I flop TPTK and the three opps check to me. I’m going to make a standard value bet here of 3/4 pot (240).

The turn pairs the 8 and now the BB decides to make a very, very small lead bet into me. This is going to be some sort of made hand and the sizing of it screams “please raise me”, which means that he most likely has an 8. I disagree that he’s betting a draw, because the turn did not add any draws and if the opp wanted to bet a flush draw, they’d have most likely done so on the flop, not waiting until the turn.

With all of this taken into consideration, even though it’s a small bet, I need to fold. I’d need to call 140 into a pot that will be 1320 (10.6%) and I only have 2 outs, so my hand is only worth 4%.
Since the pot odds are higher, I expect to lose chips each time I’d call, so calling is out as an option and I don’t want to raise when I can easily be behind. If I can’t call nor raise, my option is to fold.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.
